THE FRANCEENS (UK)
The Franceens are a 3-piece from York UK. They play high-energy "proper" rock and roll. The music is delivered with ferocity, honesty and precision. It's twangy, intense and full of raw power. They are an exceptionally hard-working band, playing anything up to 3 gigs per week, some of which have been known to be in the same day. They released their first EP entitled “Duck and Cover” in March 2013, on their own DIY label. This EP is now available for free download from their Facebook page. The band is a tight combination of catchy riffs and vocal hooks, backed up by a solid rhythm. The Franceens fight for DIY punk rock and believe in supporting your local live music scene, whilst also trying to discover and support new bands from further afield. In September 2013, The Franceens joined DIY music heavyweights; TNS Records. In October 2013, they had air time on BBC Radio 1 with the song "Attack".

Felidae Trick
After its founding by Omer Liechtenstein in Tel Aviv, the first sign of life from Felidae Trick came out on summer 2011, the release of "The Felidae Trick" album. Afterwards, Omer gathered together with the English producer Peter Walsh (Simple Minds, Peter Gabriel) to work on the EP She Goes Away. In spite of much earlier action, the new album Patrimony is Felidae's first "band" album, and the first to be recorded completely in Berlin, and so it represents the path Felidae has chosen to walk through. Patrimony was produced by the Slovenian producer Zare Pak (Siddharta), on summer 2013.
Some will notice an oriental flavour, while others shall detect a classical touch on this Indie Rock - New Wave band, which is influenced by bands like The Cure, Arctic Monkeys, Nirvana, The Beatles and more. That's no wonder, considering the diversity in its members' origin - one can find roots from Germany, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Hungary and more.
Felidae Trick are: Omer Liechtenstein – vocals, Valentin Schuster – drums, Julin Pajzs – Guitar, Bass – Roni Meir

SIMEON SOUL CHARGER (US)

ARE BACK

Simeon Soul Charger is an American Psychedelic Rock band. Their music has been described as a pastiche of 70's psychedelic, folk, blues, progressive, and stoner rock. The quartet formed in 2008 where they began touring the United States amidst releasing 2 EPs Simeon Soul Charger (2009) and All Rather Dead (2010). Live shows deemed legendary quickly achieved them cult status with a musical work confidently compared to that of the really big names. In February 2011, they released their debut full-length album Meet Me in the Afterlife which amazed both enthusiastic fans and music magazines. By March of the same year the band moved to a Bavarian farmhouse where they set up a European homebase and have since made several hundred concert appearances across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Italy. In 2012, the band recorded their latest oeuvre Harmony Square, a cinematic rock opera, already considered as a masterstroke not only in the independent scene.

Unmanned: America’s Drone Wars, (english)

the eighth full-length feature documentary from Brave New Foundation, director Robert Greenwald investigates the impact of U.S. drone strikes at home and abroad through more than 70 separate interviews, including a former American drone operator who shares what he has witnessed in his own words, Pakistani families mourning loved ones and seeking legal redress, investigative journalists pursuing the truth, and top military officials warning against blowback from the loss of innocent life.

Throughout Unmanned, Greenwald intersperses in-depth interviews with never-before-seen footage from the tribal regions in Pakistan to humanize those who have been impacted by our drone policy. This footage, alongside interviews with Pakistani drone survivors, describes the brutal reality of drone attacks ordered during the Obama Administration. The film highlights the stories of 16 year old Tariq Aziz, killed by a drone a mere week after he participated in a public conference in Islamabad in 2011, and a school teacher, Rafiq ur Rehman, grappling with the loss of his elderly mother and the hospitalization of his children due to a drone strike last year, showing how delicate life can be in this virtual war where no one is accepting responsibility for the casualties.

In candid conversations with experts like Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of State to Secretary of State Colin Powell; David Kilcullen former advisor to NATO and General Petraeus; and Vicki Divoli, former deputy legal advisor to the CIA’s counterterrorism Center, Unmanned reveals that these covert military actions are often imprecise and result in creating more enemies for the American people who have little knowledge of how drone targets are set and the killings carried out.
