Das besetzte Haus »Inex Film« in Belgrad ist einer der wenigen Ort, wo linksradikale/
betreut der selbstorganisierte Kindergarten »Koko Lepo« (Wie schön) schon im zweiten Jahr täglich Kinder aus der benachbarten Roma und Aškali Siedlung um gegen deren marginalisierung, anzukämpfen
und den rasistischen und ausbeuterischen sozialen Strukturen im neoliberalen Belgrad und der damit einhergehenden ausgrenzung von gerade von Roma und Aškali etwas entgegen zu setzen. Das Program des Kindergarten basiert im Gegensatz zu den staatlichen Programmen auf gegenseitiger Hilfe und Solidarität. Koko Lepo bleibt damit unabhängig von Profitinteressen und staatlicher Kontrolle.
An diesem Abend wird uns einer der Lehrer von Koko Lepo über die Entstehungsgeschichte, die Arbeit und die Philosophie des Koko Lepo Kindergartens berichten.

The Koko Lepo Autonomous Kindergarten is now entering its second year in Belgrade, Serbia. Housed in the largest squat in the city, it serves the Roma and Aškali residents of a nearby settlement and attempts to combat the marginalization inherent in the racist and exploitative social structures of neoliberal Belgrade by offering a regular kindergarten program based on mutual aid and solidarity in contradistinction to programs that work with the State and the market. Because of this, Koko Lepo remains autonomous from NGOs, profit motivations, and State control. This discussion, lead by one of Koko Lepo's teachers, will summarize the history, operation, and philosophy of the kindergarten.

Felidae Trick
After its founding by Omer Liechtenstein in Tel Aviv, the first sign of life from Felidae Trick came out on summer 2011, the release of "The Felidae Trick" album. Afterwards, Omer gathered together with the English producer Peter Walsh (Simple Minds, Peter Gabriel) to work on the EP She Goes Away. In spite of much earlier action, the new album Patrimony is Felidae's first "band" album, and the first to be recorded completely in Berlin, and so it represents the path Felidae has chosen to walk through. Patrimony was produced by the Slovenian producer Zare Pak (Siddharta), on summer 2013.

FRANCEENS
The Franceens are a 3-piece from York UK. They play high-energy "proper" rock and roll. The music is delivered with ferocity, honesty and precision. It's twangy, intense and full of raw power. They are an exceptionally hard-working band, playing anything up to 3 gigs per week, some of which have been known to be in the same day. They released their first EP entitled “Duck and Cover” in March 2013, on their own DIY label. This EP is now available for free download from their Facebook page. The band is a tight combination of catchy riffs and vocal hooks, backed up by a solid rhythm. The Franceens fight for DIY punk rock and believe in supporting your local live music scene, whilst also trying to discover and support new bands from further afield. In September 2013, The Franceens joined DIY music heavyweights; TNS Records. In October 2013, they had air time on BBC Radio 1 with the song "Attack".
Since their formation in 1984, Argies have stood out due to their libertarian poetry, the power of their
music and the understanding and coherence of their political attitude. Even though their roots can be
found in the British Punk from the seventies, nowadays their music witnesses influences from ska,
reggae, dub and good part of rock’n’roll elements and Latin rhythms. Practicing a philosophy of “do it
yourself” they have made a successful career while maintaining independence.
The name “Argies” derives from the English pejorative term for “Argentinean” which was most
popularly used by the British yellow press during the Falkland War in 1982. Far from being
nationalists, their name connects the band, the members of which define themselves as
internationalists, with debased minorities and marginalized people worldwide.
By the mid nineties, Argies left their hometown Rosario and moved to Buenos Aires. Since then,
playing more than 35 shows annually, they came to be known as one of the most frequently
performing acts in town. Starting in 1999, the band has regularly played extended tours in South
America and Europe. Until today, Argies have performed in 33 countries and played more than 600
shows in Europe. The Band functions like a collective of committed musicians all of which form part of
the project for undetermined periods, entering and leaving Argies with the same liberty that also
characterizes the work in the band and the way in which its members study and teach in joint efforts

sookee lebt seit 27 von möglichen 29 jahren in berlin, hat hiphop zunächst über graffiti kennengelernt, aber durch sprache erzeugte bilder im kopf liegen ihr mehr als solche an wänden. mit feministisher theorie und praxis ist sie vor allem durchs studium in berührung gekommen und hält heute vorträge zu (hetero-)sexismus im hiphop, aber beshäftigt sich auch mit den subversiven und progressiven potentialen von subkulturen. ihre musik beinhaltet sowohl kritik an hierarchishen und normativen strukturen als auch empowerment von widerständigen identitäten, sodass ihre inhalte zwar nicht leicht verdaulich, aber nie dogmatisch sind.

sookee has lived 27 of 29 years of her life in berlin. she initially discovered hiphop through graffiti, but found out quickly that images generated by words are up her alley, much more than those on walls. she encountered feminist theory & the code of practice in her university studies. today she gives lectures on (hetero-)sexism in hiphop, but is also concerned with subversive and progressive capabilities of subcultures. her music critizes hierarchical and normative formations as well as empowers oppositional identities. therefore, her topics aren't easy to digest but never dogmatic.

Dieses Selbstbewusstsein fällt nicht aus dem Himmel. Es ist das Resultat vorheriger Kämpfe um Verbesserungen und Veränderungen - eines Reformkampfes. Diese Formulierung des Verhältnisses von Reform und Revolution ist in Deutschland vor allem mit einem Namen verbunden: Rosa Luxemburg.
Die Debatte über Reform und Revolution hat heute eine vernünftige Neuauflage verdient. Singer/songwriter Kristen Marlo began singing before she could talk, and hasn’t stopped since. She is a classically trained vocalist and self-taught guitarist, but also an accomplished composer and lyricist. Inspiration for her prolific songwriting comes from passion for new experiences; her work covers the full range of human emotion, from love and lust to rage and revenge. The last few years have seen her touring the US extensively in support of two independently released EPs and a live LP. Her broad appeal is reflected in the eclectic list of internationally known American artists she’s opened for, including Sara Bareilles, Joshua Radin, Matt Hires, Eric Hutchinson, Allen Stone, April Smith, Fanfarlo, The Bravery, Gary Jules, folk singer Todd Snider, country artist Eric Church and others. This fifty minute documentary film is about Coffee Strong: its
importance for its most active members, active duty soldiers and their
families, veterans of recent and past conflicts, and regional and
national political movements. At the center of the film are the men and
women whose experiences in the military and war compel them to commit
themselves to help others who are serving or have served in the past.
Each individual featured in the film exists within a nuanced tangle of
conflicting emotions tied to pride, dedication to service, friendship,
anger, disillusionment, sadness, and guilt. The film examines each one’s
stories from their decisions to join the military, their experiences of
war, and their motivations for devoting themselves to Coffee Strong. It
explores how their relationships with one another and their activist
efforts to make a more peaceful and just world help them cope with their
own experiences.

sookee lebt seit 27 von möglichen 29 jahren in berlin, hat hiphop zunächst über graffiti kennengelernt, aber durch sprache erzeugte bilder im kopf liegen ihr mehr als solche an wänden. mit feministisher theorie und praxis ist sie vor allem durchs studium in berührung gekommen und hält heute vorträge zu (hetero-)sexismus im hiphop, aber beshäftigt sich auch mit den subversiven und progressiven potentialen von subkulturen. ihre musik beinhaltet sowohl kritik an hierarchishen und normativen strukturen als auch empowerment von widerständigen identitäten, sodass ihre inhalte zwar nicht leicht verdaulich, aber nie dogmatisch sind.

Wer einmal das Stimmvolumen des Bandleaders Aaron Brooks gehört hat, wird neue Maßstäbe anlegen müssen. Sämtliche Mitglieder der Band zeigen sich zudem als herausragende Musiker – diese Band wird sehr bald große Hallen füllen, keine Frage.
Ihre Auftritte sind zwischenzeitlich legendär und erinnern an die späte Rolling-Thunder Tournee von Bob Dylan.

Inspiriert von den GI-Coffeehouses der Vietnam-Ärea eröffneten junge Irak- und Afghanistan –Veteranen im November 2008, 300 Meter entfernt vom Joint Lewis-McChord Base in Washington State, das GI- Café „Coffee Strong“- eines der drei GI-Cafés neben dem „Under The Hood“ in Killeen TX und dem „The Clearing Barrel“ in Kaiserslautern. In November 2008, a group of U.S. veterans opened COFFEE STRONG,
a coffee shop located outside the gates of the U.S. Army base Fort
Lewis in Washington. Inspired by the Vietnam-era G.I. coffee house
movement, Coffee Strong provides a safe space where service members,
military families, and veterans can drink coffee and discuss issues,
such as their experiences of war, deployment concerns, the hardships of
life in the military, and veteran benefits.
Members of Coffee Strong–most of whom were deployed one or more times to
the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and all of whom are under the
age of 30–provide G.I. rights counseling and direct people suffering
from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, sexual assault, discrimination,
recruiter abuse, and medical and legal problems to the appropriate
resources. They also provide counseling for those seeking options for
leaving the military early, including entry-level, dependency, hardship,
medical, psychological, and conscientious objection. Visitors to Coffee
Strong read books from the free library, use the free computers with
Internet access, explore literature on war and imperialism, and enjoy
special events, such as punk rock shows and movie nights.

From a snowy small town in Northern Michigan to the mountains of Afghanistan and back, Where Soldiers Come From follows the four-year journey of childhood friends, forever changed by a faraway war.
A film about growing up, Where Soldiers Come From
is an intimate look at the young men who fight our wars and the
families and town they come from. Returning to her hometown, Director
Heather Courtney gains extraordinary access following these young men as
they grow and change from reckless teenagers, to soldiers looking for
roadside bombs in Afghanistan, to 23-year-old veterans dealing with the
silent war wounds of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and PTSD.
Enticed by a $20,000 signing bonus and the college tuition support,
best friends Dominic and Cole join the National Guard after graduating
from their rural high school. Soon their group of friends joins them,
and eventually the young men are sent to Afghanistan, where they spend
their days sweeping for Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). By the time
their deployment ends, they are no longer the carefree group of friends
they were before enlisting; repeated bombs blowing up around their
convoys have led to TBI symptoms, and they have all become increasingly
disillusioned about their mission.
The challenges really begin to surface when they return to their families and communities in Michigan. Where Soldiers Come From
looks beyond the guns and policies of an ongoing war to tell a human
story about family, friendship, and community and how they all change
when young people go off to fight.
Where Soldiers Come From won the 2012
Independent Spirit Truer Than Fiction Award, and is a co-production of
Quincy Hill Films and ITVS, in association with American Documentary |
POV. The film had its national broadcast premiere in Fall 2011 on PBS’s
award-winning documentary series POV, and has been chosen as an encore
broadcast in September 2012.

Lost Soul, Wayne's acoustic alter-ego, is quite a different story to his
regular punk rock influences. His songs weave together elements of
blues, country, folk, punk and rock n roll to create something entirely
new and unique but with melodies that will stay in your head for years

Lost Soul turbocharged the evening’s helter-skelter into the folk-punk fairground with the appropriately titled ‘Somewhere else in the world’ a bitter sweet take on UK tourism and its less than savoury aspects. That one person’s release is another person’s pain, also typified ‘Hatred Pill’, a searing lament to losing a friend to homophobic fascists and the agony of perhaps having made the wrong decision not to catch ‘that train’ too. The neck hairs were still standing in acknowledgement of the sentiment into my favourite number, ‘The Road’, a deceptively charming sing a long song about life’s lessons and ones sometimes tortured relationship with ones parents. I would be hard pushed to find two lines of poetry that better express the joys and agonies of the transformations from childhood into knowing teenager than “skimming stones across the river/leaving broken hearts in our wake”. Sublime!
This left me thinking: what songs does one write at forty if you are a punk? As the generation of 1977 reaches middle age, there are inevitable backward glances to take stock of how it has all panned out, nicely epitomised here in ‘Ugly on the inside’, with uncomfortable truths hung out with the washing: maybe we are not as nice (or honest) as we think we are. But punk is an attitude not a fashion, and unfortunately many of the injustices of decades past are sadly still present. Polite society once railed against safety pins and piercing, now religious evangelists accost you in motorway service stations objecting to tattoos: “god didn’t give you your body to draw upon” we were told, in the introduction to the storming new number ‘Lost Soul’. Theological escapism may provide respite for some, but in many places in the world, joining the army is what many do to find employment and excitement. Dead end town or not, for so many the badge of respectability gained by a uniform is short lived, as teenagers head off to ‘teach the natives how to worship freedom’, only to realise too late that what they are fighting for is not what they thought. Lost Soul closed the set with two songs the sentiments of which could grace any age ‘Not in my name’, and possibly the finest song of the entire evening ‘The Ballad of Billy Ray McKenzie’.(YORKSHIRE GIG GUIDE 2010)

Stella,
die Leadsängerin der Band und das Gesicht hinter dem zerbrechlichen
und doch ausdrucksstarken Gesang schreibt und komponiert die
biografischen Stücke selbst. Schon seit drei Jahren widmet sie viel
Herz und Gefühl ihren Texten. Es geht um eigens erlebte Geschichten,
alte Emotionen oder jüngste Ausschnitte ihres Lebens. Mit

September 2012 gehen die drei auf ihre zweite Tour durch Deutschland

von Afrika nach Europa. Unter der Formel Bonobo Riot bannen sie ihre
Musik mittels schamanischer Technologie zum Soundtrack der längst
überfälligen Veränderungen in der Alten Welt. Sie sind bereit, sich mit
euch in warmen Schlammlöchern zu suhlen, sich und euch die Felle zu
entlausen, fröhlich kopulierend von Ast zu Ast zu schwingen um endlich
das Bonobo-Zeitalter einzuläuten. Großväterchen Punk läutet mit,
schwingt und waved sich schamlos grinsend zu seinen Enkeln und Urenkeln.
Sie leisten sich den Luxus zweier Bässe, und wissen, dass Melodie und
Rhythmik gut auf vier Saiten passen. Urwüchsig-frivol, befeuert von
einem universellen Stammbaum, der aus Johnny Rotten, Nina Hagen und Lene
Lovich mit einem Quäntchen Patti Smith zusammengesetzt scheint,
artikuliert das Weibchen Instinkt zu Sprache und tanzt um die Feuer, auf

Die FLYING MONKEYS sind ein Rocktrio aus Kaiserslautern mit eigenen
Songs im Gepäck. Frontfrau ist Sängerin und Gitarristin Johanna
Leonhardt, die mit ihrem tief expressiven, rauchigem Gesang das Publikum
in die Spätsechziger katapultiert.
Die Stilrichtung wurde des Öfteren als eine Mischung aus The Kinks, Velvet Underground und den Sexpistols
beschrieben. Tatsächlich erinnert das Ganze an ehrlichen, handgemachten
Garagenrock der 70er. Treibende ausgefeilte Beats von Schlagzeuger
Matthias Kehrer und melodiös rhythmische Basslinien von Oli Friedel

llen den Raum und erwecken die Band zum Leben. Spielfreude und Hingabe
zur Musik sind die persönlichen Zutaten dieser außergewöhnlichen Band,
